I was there for a half hour, rode up with my brother in his '93 Z28...

I saw an '87 GN come pulling in around 7:30ish, we were getting ready to hit the road at the time...

I was there with my 87 GN from about 7:30 to 8:45. This was my first time coming out to the cruise this year and it was definately a great show.

Hey, I did have someone ask me about my tie down strap under my hood. Was that you?

Yes it was. ...I didn't want to interupt the conversation you were having with the guy on the bicycle..I waited around a bit to chat but I had to run to meet for dinner down the street.
    Very nice car BTW.

Hey Rick, I'm doing good how about you? Nice to hear from you again. I must have just missed you when I was leaving the show. I actually did see you later driving down 191st street going the opposite way. But this was after I stopped home and switched cars.

As for the car, its running pretty good considering yesterday was the first time I had the car out this year! I can't believe the gas in the tank is from October 07'! But I just put fresh oil in it and its ready to go. Let me know whenever you decide to check out some more cruise spots.

Hey there fellas, how's everyone doing? Its been a while since I've been on the board. My car is in hiding right now so I haven't been out much this year.

Anyways, one of my friends in Tinley recently bought a buick and is having trouble with a no-start condition. Would any of you be willing to take a look at it for him? Work has been crazy for me so I haven't had time to stop by there and help out.

His car starts and then dies (very similar to the anti-theft feature some chip burners put in their chips). The car ran fine and then one day it died while he was driving it and hasn't started since. If we put an old chip in the car (for his old, stock combo), the car starts and runs, but runs rough. The car also starts and runs with no chip in the ecu, but again, it runs rough. I had him order a turbo tweak chip (thinking it was the chip), but it does the same thing (starts, then dies). He also bought a new ecu, same problem. I am running out of ideas here and since I run a BS3, I dont have any parts I can swap with him to help figure out what is going on.

If anyone can help out, please shoot me a PM so I can pass along contact info. Thanks again, and see you all out in 09 :D
