Anybody ever bought any tires and wheels online, had them mounted and balanced and shipped to you? I have saw this being advertised in some car magazines lately and the prices and shipping look real attractive. I am wanting to put a lift kit and bigger size tires and wheels on my sons 2006 F150 and thought about going this route. TIA Ty
I did for a little import daily I drove for a few months, as they were much cheaper than anywhere local. Are you looking at 4wheel parts or something similar? They do offer good prices, usually a really good deal, hoping you will order a lift "since you are there", and keep adding stuff to the order. Usually those mag/online places can beat out all the local deals, even here in SoCal.
Yeah, I didn't have anyone in particular in mind. As you know in rural Kansas options are limited. I was going to order a 4-6" lift with some bigger Dick Cepeks or something on nice looking rims. It is a black truck, all blacked out, so just wanted to finish it off.
hello; I got some tires from a mail order in the past. I got porked on the mounting because I didn't buy them from the installers. I know Tire Rack work with shops all over. So if you buy tires from them usually there's local shops that work togeather so mounting would not be a problem. IBBY
I have numerous times.... never a problem... came out much cheaper than local shops and didn't have to drive around looking at wheels. aaron
I bought M/T DR's, Weld Wheels, lugs, lug nuts and spacers from Jegs. Discount had to order the stuff and wanted a week to do so. Jegs had my stuff to me 3 days later. They did a great job for me and the price was cheaper than Discount by $50 a side.
I used tire rack alot at Ferrari. Pretty much hassle and issue free. They don't sell tires or wheels for Fords....or to people from Kansas.
I ordered four tires one time from the Tire Rack.......but due to recent cutbacks there because of the bad economy, all I got were four bagels. Blue Steel.....'87GN
