OK, 11 years ago when I got this car, I removed the motor because it was running and I decided I'd just pull the antenna up when I used it..like 3 or 4 times a year...
Well, now I'm motivated to fix it, but I'm afraid I'm missing a part when the mast tube connects to the motor, there is a white/yellowed colored plastic part at the end of the tube with some threads on the inside of it, but there is nothing to thread it into on the motor?? Pic below...

#2) Appearently the nylon chord broke of up in the top part of the mast, I can barely see it looking up the mast, is there a way to get the top rod part that screws into the top of the mast out when the nylon is broke right where it joins the rod?? Or am I screwed and need to find a new mast and tube assembly?
I have a repair kit, but if I can't get the top rod part out, I can't repair it.

Rob, to get the top mast section out I presume you just unscrew the tip from it then push it down and it should come out ... the new one installs the opposite way so push up then screw the tip back on it.

For no 2 I'll see if I can look at some pictures I have as all my spare antenna parts are put away (also got one I plan to repair one of these days).

Ah, I didn't realize the top 1/3 section was the rod itself and the little nob on the top screws onto it there! Thx!

Yeah for where the tube mates to the motor, it looks like it might just sit in the "cup" part as there are no threads in the motor housing and the little clip with ears on it snaps onto the mast tube and then fits in the groumet, the isolator I think its called...maybe some silicon around it, but the threads on the inside of the white plastic end has me confused...maybe its all that Makers Mark Bourbon I've drank tonight too :)
