My car has a 25+ MPH pickup (1/8 to 1/4) with 2-3 shifts at 5000 and a trap RPM of 5700 (pulls hard above 5500). If I shift the 2-3 @ 5700 it picks up 1/8 MPH however I lose the big end pick up. This is my guess: When shifting the 2-3 at 5700 it makes my trap RPM too low. Ok here’s the question: So how do you balance this?

does the et better with the higher shifts?inmo you have to get the car to accelerate quicker by leaving harder and adding boost 22psi on a 66 should be just scratching the surface.what are your 60fts and how much boost are you leaving with to get it?

What is a good boost level to launch at off foot brake? My car is running 12.56 and 110.83 mph with a horrible 2.023 60'. But i havnt launched with any boost yet. And alky wasnt working so i stayed around 3/4 throttle with no knock.

Always tune the bottom out before you go for the top. There is more e.t. to clip off running faster in the eighth.

With my TE60 I could cut 1.67 with 2-3 psi, the 66 needs 8 psi to cut the same 60'.

Agree my 1/8 mile is lacking. I’ll pull fuel and add timing down low.

The bottom line is, you need to pick a shift rpm which will net you the best ET regardless of what the mph is.
