Smile Best Starter?

Does anyone know what starter I should use on my Buick turbo 6 motor? Is it the LS1 starter? Where is the best place to get one?

Thanks for any help!

Really, I don't know which is best but I've heard a lot about those mini starters.

Starter

Go to your local parts store and get a Starter for a 69 Riv GS with a 430..

bolts right up and will spin the heck out of a little v6..

I used an LT-4 starter from the parts house. either autozone or advance auto cant remember. it is a gear reduction starter. Do a search for the part number as i cant remember. later, jeremy

LT1 starter, GM# 10465293 (323-488). LT4 starter, GM# 10455709 and/or 10455703. Be sure and get the mounting bolts, #12338064 & 14037733.

$99.95 shipped at GBodyParts, includes correct bolts.This is a mini-starter. I've had mine for 4 years, no problems. saves 10 lbs. HTH.
