Electronic Boost Control

Is anyone using electronic boost control on a 9 second
and faster car??? My friend is considering putting one
on his 8.5 with limited traction car. Is this a gimic
import kind of thing or will it be able to control
a SBC with Twin t-76s????

Thanks in advance.

John
I run a Innovative MSBC-1 Boost controller on my car, This is no gimick. I have also installed it on a couple of 8 & 9 sec. cars with twins & big singles. It has a launch control & 5 stages .

John,
I have an Innovative unit going on my car. Job Spetter ran one on his turbo car about 2 or 3 years ago and was the first SSO Mustang in the 7's (10" tire which really shows the tunability of the unit) hence getting the device outlawed in the class.
Dale, are you running a "blow off" on the compressor side along with the MSPBC?
Bill

Yes, I use one. If you get a boost spike, you may need to drill the exhaust port of the solenoid larger.
