White Racing 1986 T-Type

White Racing 1986 T-Type

Best of 8.300 ET at 169.98 MPH

1.227 60'

Twin Turbo Buick V6

I took this information off of their web site.
It looks like stock suspension or maybe a ladder bar
with a real 10.5 in tire.

Anyone have some real information/specifications on this car???

Take a look for yourself at

john, i can't decide between a 101 turbo or a F3 supercharger. i might have the regal sold. if i do then the motor is going in a late model trans am. the car will kinda look like mike yedgarians (nmca super sreet). but it will be a different color. probably black. it will be a 10.5 w 25.1c super street car. the motor should make almost 2000hp. so in a trans am at 3000lbs. it should really fly. i'll keep you updated as things go.

Ray,

Shoot me your phone number when you get a chance.
I would like to call you and catch up.

BTW My friend in a 3000 mustang went 7.5 @ 186
his first time at the track with 10.5w. 23psi from
a T-101 with the small turbine housing. It has never
slipped a $300 belt or broken a chain and caught the car
on fire =)

I look forward to speeking with you.

my email is jwilde@smrn.com

Get a 106mm turbo! Chuck Samuel went 6.44 @220mph with his Pro 5.0 Mustang that had a PT-106 turboed SBF and I'm sure you'll go faster than him because you have a Chevy motor

Steve,

Ray will have to weigh 5 to 600lbs more than Chuck in Pro
5.0 and is limited to a 101mm in the Nitrous Muscle Car Association.

The fastest cars are in the 7.35 7.40 range in legal trim.

Wow! Talk about a heavy race car....

John, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Pro 5.0 cars weigh about 3000lbs? This would mean he'll have to weigh 3500-3600lbs.... If so that's one heavy 7 second car! In that case the 101mm turbo would be the best bet as you said earlier

Hopefully we'll get to see some pics of this beast when it's done

Steve,

In FFW PRO 5.0 cars have to weigh 2500lbs and run what you
brung!!!

Here are the rules for this year!!!

WEIGHTS / DISPLACEMENTS:

All minimum weights include driver, measured at the conclusion of a run.

Minimum Weight Power Adder Maximum Displacement, block type
2200 pounds Nitrous 580 cubic inches, any block
2600 pounds Nitrous 711 cubic inches, any block
2200 pounds Supercharger or Turbo 310 cubic inches, any block
2500 pounds Supercharger Windsor type small block only
2500 pounds Turbocharger Windsor type small block only
2350 pounds Naturally aspirated 816 cubic inches, any block

His car runs well at other events but has not done 6.4 @ 3000 lbs.

Smile

John, thanks for the correction and info! I had heard from a Mustang buddy of mine that all the turbo small block Pro 5.0 cars must weigh 2800-3000lbs to be legal, but that didn't sound to reasonable to me cause that seems a bit on the heavy side for a mid 6 second car.... FWIW, if you check out Conley's website http://www.tweaked2.com for his Tweaked II twin turbo SBC Camaro it says that he ran 6.55 @ 2900lbs!

Steve,

I think your friend is thinking about the NMRA.
Here are last years rules. The guys are not
running 6.4 in NMRA Trim. Most of the fast
turbo cars are not even showing up for the NMRA.

WEIGHT: BASE WEIGHT

Nitrous Oxide 2,200 LBS.
Supercharger 2,600 LBS.
Turbocharger 2,900 LBS.

WEIGHT: PENALTIES OR BREAKS

Torque converter - Deduct 225 LBS.
1979-1993 Body Style - Deduct 50 LBS.
Outlaw Wheel base / Overhang - Add 50 LBS. (except NOS cars)
Modular V8 Powered - Deduct 500 LBS.

LC is a cool guy and I am glad that he is getting the bugs worked out. I hope his motor program gives him a little less trouble this year. I would like to see him win the championship this time around.

Yeah he was probably thinking about the NMRA rules in that case.... LC seems to have his car running strong so hopefully he has a real good season and takes the championship!

Nice talking to you John

Later.
