Bearings

Im going to have a crank ground. Obviously a wide journal would be better than a narrow, but it seems that the wide bearings are hard to come come by. Are they still available? Federal Mougal? Thanks.

I have the same question,

I am using rods that are .890 wide and need a source for wide rod bearings (std and .001 OS). I'd rather just buy them and not have to make them from 455 rod bearings.

What are you experienced Stage 2 guys using?

Dave

Bearings

I believe Vandervall makes bearings for the wide journal rods. The number is 404--491-3935. The wide journal rods measure .890 but the bearings measure .745 due to the chamfer on each side of the rod.
