quick question

I posted this in the general tech section but decided it might be more appropriate to post it here.

is this worth buying?

buick grand national stage 2 Indy short deck block,3.910 bore,missing main caps,has head studs

(click) P $250

it's in the local paper

Paul,

I take it you live here in So Cal like I do. I know the guy who is trying to sell these blocks. Short deck Indy blocks are of NO value unless you are building a motor for an Indy car. They are even less worthwile since they don't have main caps. Nothing interchanges so it really isn't worth the bother.
