on center rods in off center block

was on a forum the other day and saw people who have used on center
rods in off center block any one here this before.

I know people that take wide journal on-center rods and narrow them on one side , to narrow journal width. That makes them pretty close to an off-center rod. Seems to work out fine!! Mike
