Talking Stage II street Regal

I have John Lehmans car up for sale. $30,000.00 OBO for more details or pictures e-mail me.There is probably 60,000 & many hours invested in it. Thought I would give the southwest section first choice. I keep so busy working on everyone else's projects. I just don't have the time for it.

I hate to sell it but my dream was to get a turbo Porsche & I ran into a deal right after I committed to buy the Regal. So now in addition to owning a Vette, Porsche & Lightning. I'm also very involved with Bob & Brent's race cars & the up comeing race at Bowling green. Plus all the rest of my customers. If I keep this up I'll get a heart attack & then none of this will matter. Some how I need to get this all back under control. So the Vette & the Regal have to go.

Lou I will be more than happy to take care of the car for you. You can just leave me the keys and I will pick it up tomorrow. . . Good luck with the sale.

It is an 03 & after driving it Sunday afternoon & discovering some unacceptable issues with the car. Took it back & tried to get it handled. What I got was a blank stare & was told that sorry its a used car. So I'm sorry also that I had to stop payment on the check & they will get their car back this morning. Nice try on their part but it didn't work. Maybe I should just stick to buying Buick's.

Its an 03 ruby red anniversary auto coupe less than 8,000 miles. Have some bolt on upgrades & all the original parts. makes about 425 H.P. I would guess & gets about 27 mpg. If this Porsche deal falls through & can't get a fair price for it. I will either keep it or get another ZO6

I planned on a sneak attack on you guys and was going to buy John Lehman's car before anybody found out about it so I called Lou early Sunday morning and made an appointment for that afternoon to take a ride in the car and look it over. I came, I saw, but failed to conquer. That car is so fast that I almost soiled my diapers and bailed out of the window at about 110. Somebody needs to step up to the plate and purchase that car before it leaves the Southwestern Section. It is virtually flawless, quick enough to scare me, and beautifully detailed under the hood. I have now changed plans and I am off to build a high 11 sec or low 12 sec car out of my white one. I thought that I knew what a high 9 sec car was about, but I was off by about 2 full seconds. I will settle for a 12 sec flat car, and no more soiled diapers.

You get used to it after 3-4 runs, then you're bored again and looking to spend more money.

Thanks Gary! Coming from you that's quite a complement. I get calls all the time people wanting to step up their TR. When I ask them what their perf. goals are 80% of the time they tell me 10's. My next question is have you ever been down a race track & if so how fast have you went. Same percentage have never been down the track & have no clue what a 10 second car is all about.A reasonable goal is high 11"s & won't break the bank. That will take care of 99% of anything that you may run into on the street. A lot of me is in that car. Plus its the ultimate TR. Show me another conversion better done than it. A/C, concert sound, power steering, over drive trans, smooth idle & not too tempermental for what it is.Cruise's 2200 rpm at 70 mph with 3.73 gears. It won't hurt my feelings to keep it for awhile till the right buyer comes's along. Maybe see you at doughnut derelicts, P.S. if you ever call me at 7.00 am on a sunday again the beatings will be severe LOL, Lou

Plus some other minor issues.I noticed that the front tires had the directional arrows going the wrong way. That turned out to fix the problem. I's amazeing how fast things were accomplished when I threatened to stop payment. A little tough love never hurt anyone. Who ever owned it didn't know how to take care of black paint. The car is full of fine scratchs. So I'm buffing my ass off trying to correct that. I would like to meet the previous owner & bitch slap him/her & recommend them to buy a mustang or some other base transportation.

Gary,

Why ruin a pretty low milage T-type. Just trade me your depreciating Z for my appreciating TTA .No building required.

As much as I like your tta, I have not been able to convince myself that a tta is the next car for me. It's unfortunate, but ruining nice low mileage t-types seems to be what I do best. I really do appreciate the offer, though. Mine would have to be a solid roof, and with only 47 or 57 built, we all know that my pockets aren't that deep.

Gary! just do what makes you happy, life is short. I don't see anything that you have done so far to your car that didn't improve it.

There is nothing that we have done on that car that I have regretted. I want a nice, stock looking turbo brick that will not embarass itself in the handling, braking or go fast area.

Yeah! it's no sin to finish the job that Buick started. These cars weren't built in heaven & have a lot of issues that could of been done better. All your doing is correcting them making it safer & more fun to drive.
