Thumbs up Irindale tonight

Anyone going to Irwindale tonight? I need to try Irwindale to see the difference from my only other outing with my first GN. This will not be any record setting. Real street tires (BF Goodrich) stock size. Just need some base line numbers for future changes.

well i wont give it away but try 1.9 60ft on 235 BFG Radial T/A's yea the street tire for like 80$ hahaha! WOW pretty cool! Nice meeting everyone yesterday, what a perfect night to run. If you got there on time, you definitly could have left that night with 6+ runs. NOONE was there. All night until like 8:30-9ish pm, pretty much the line never passed the huge irwindale electrical sign on the left side of the stagging lanes

In the future when I go, I would love to go on a night like that. Perfect wheather and no packed at all. Pete thanks for the dog DOG always cool chatting with you, your insight is pretty good and highly apreciated! Im loving that "lets DYE your oil to find the oil leak idea" freaking genious, I didn't even know you could do that. Met some new faces which was awsome. Formally introduced to psiv6 and his dad, that was cool.

Ill let the driver post his times if he wants. Darkside!!!!!!

Is was a world record of 8.13 @ 85 w/ 1.91 60' @ 20 psi for his best and the rest was flooding with alky or lefting because of no alky. Having problems with the Snows alky junk.

I took his truck and tryed to beat his best time of 8.46 @ 82 and I could only get a 8.49 @ 82 and yes it's a stock Lightning with no goodies. BTW right lane sucked all night for me with drag radials

Good to meet you Mark and good seeing you again Pete.

Now just have to figure out how to get 1.91 60' more than once in awhile. No just kidding once I can get everything woking right then maybe I can figure out how to launch with some consistanly. Still had fun and plan to do it some more. Once a gear head always a gearhead. Wheather in my Buick or do I say Ford. Fun is fun what ever you plant your but in and slam you back in the seat or at least push you back in the seat. I'm still trying to remember what 1.50 60' were like. I am getting old but I still refuse to grow up!

purchase a set of MT street radials for $300 (pair) and you will pull around 1.60's all day long with a stock rear end set up (well you could use some air bags too)
