Talking Time for a New Thread

Ok, so I decided that because of all the negative remarks that have been going on lately, its time for the group to do something that will make all of us feel good .

Today has been a strange day. First off I had to put my cat down, and that kinda sucked. On a positive note, I got my car back from Lou. The car is running great and strong but apparently the trans. is now having some issues with the new power . I don’t think its anything major but it’s enough to make me want to take it back to see Len. I already called him and said bring the Trans back out. These days I don’t have a truck or trailer, but if anyone wants to make them selves feel better for all the bad stuff that has been said on the forum, then feel free to help a fellow Buick member out .

All joking aside though, if anyone has any ideas for shipping freight or anything like that, please let me know. Right now I am kinda stuck on ideas...so any help or suggestions would be really nice.

Hope everyone is doing well, and I hope to see you guys on Feb 3rd for the dyno day. At this point I hope the car is ok to run.

Sorry to hear that you are having a bad "hair" day, and I am especially sorry to hear about your cat, as I am a cat lover myself. Actually, I love all animals, especially dogs, but my neighbors already refer to me up here as "Turbo Buick Trailer Park Trash", and a dog would just give them just cause to incite a riot. My cat has been with me about 20 years or so, and it breaks my heart to see him with arthritis, but I have decided to let him die at home as I just don't have the heart to put him down. Sorry to hear and consider a replacement.

Yeah she was older. Not as old as your cat but she was 16 years old. That’s still old for a cat. I personally don’t have any animals. Once I moved out from home I left the cats for my parents...well they were theirs to begin with. I was there to help my mom with the process, which didn’t make anything any easier.

Nice...something needs to handle all of that power your gonna put down. I am just not too thrilled about pulling the Tranny. I only have a one car garage. I am trying to figure out if it would be better to bring the car to Len somehow; I would hate it if I got the Trans back and have it have the same problem.

You might give Steve Culhane a call. His shop is in Lake Elsinore and he has done a number of trans. for the local Buick guys. He is the one that use to build the 200 4R transmissions for Art Carr back in the late 80's. He is honest and reasonable. Steve is also the one that developed the electric trans brake for the 200 4R. (Bruce at Extreme Performance Transmission sells them)
The number is 951-678-1669.

Thanks, the trans only has 2000 miles at most on it. Len just built it in October, so he will take care of. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks, I just might take you up on that offer. Brent is a good back up, I would prefer to give the car to Len so it can get road tested. I will not be able to make it to the races this week, I am stuck on the OT list at work or else Id be out there.

I thought it would be good to get rid of my truck at the time. Now I regret it. lol. But then again I didnt like 12 mpg for a daily driver. I know Lou is happy that I dont have my truck because the extra cash i was spending on it now goes to him .
