Yea, I've seen it at Div. 7 and local events for many years. And yes, the poor car has been down-graded to a V8 .

I raced that car many years ago in Bakersfield before Billy owned it. Kenny does the engine work on it and it does run low 10's with a carb (V-6). Billy is associated with the police dept. and he uses the car to promote safe driving as well as compete in division 7 events. There was a write up recently in National Dragster about this car winning a division race. I think it was Bill's first win.

Guy's,

For whatever reason I can't view the pics but it sounds like we're talking about Billy Chaffin's Regal. It's true to say that it is a aspirated Buick V6 motor which I believe has a carb on it currently although it has been fuel injected in the past. I was told that the car is actually Kenny Dutweilers red car from way back in the day. The one that is featured in the Buick powersource manual.

Billy Chaffin of LASD is correct. This car has been around a long time. As stated previously, Billy does alot of work with kids, going to schools and spending time teaching the gospel of staying in school and staying away from drugs. He's a nice guy to talk to and can be seen at local (San Gabriel Valley / L.A. County) car shows.

Maybe we should all chip so you can get your quarter panels painted.
