Local source for alum drums?

I like to pick up a set of aluminium drums, but want to check them for cracks and to see if theres enough meat left on them before I buy. Any one?

Thanks Mike

I've been checking the bone yards for years looking for them.

isn't it interesting how everybody that has aluminum drums for sale does not know how to use a set of calipers to measure them.

I have three or four back in Kansas. They should be here about this time next month, when my household shipment comes in. If you can wait that long, you're more than welcome to check them out.

Oh, and I do have calipers, but none that big.

EDIT: I will be heading back that way this time next month, so I will see if I can score some more at the yards. I got lucky and picked up 6 in two seperate trips, two yards.

Please sign me up for 2 of them, I will supply calipers and/or inside micrometers, and I will take care of measuring them, or if I can put a refundable deposit on them, I will take them to work and measure them, take them if they have a couple of turns left, return them if they don't.

Thanks! I am having a good time so far. Weather is not too bad here. Back home it has been hitting 105-110 in Kansas. Was one of the thousands whose AC went out. Wifey was not too happy.

I will grab all the aluminum drums I can if there are any more out there. I will just bring them back and we can have a reason to have another get-together.

Thumbs up Squid

Just walked in the door from camping and saw your posts. YA, I'm most interested. I'll wait till you get them here. The car's down for a week or two anyways (radiator fan died a few days ago. Ordered duels on Fri). This will be cool. Now I wont half to run my 1/8" spacers any more. Let me know when you get them here.

Big Thanks. Mike
