Whatever happened to Alternative Motoring?

I keep looking on their site for any new updated info, but haven't seen any. Anybody know when they will start scheduling Friday nights again?

Gary,

I know several guys that have e-mailed Alternative Motoring about their track rentals at CA speedway and to the best of my knowledge no one has gotten a response back. I've been waiting for a track rental to go out. The only problem now is the weather in Fontana compounded by the fact that there aren't lights at the new track so the schedule will be daytime racing.

That explains the problem, then and the no responses, also. CA Speedway, the owners of the track, are probably not about to rent out the track during the day on a weekend very reassonable, and let someone else make all of the money and Alternative Motoring is not going to rent out the track during the week (days) for fear of a week turnout, so they are waiting for lights to go up.

Gary,

I got this in my IN box today. Looks like alternative motoring is still around.

Hello Racers,

We hope everyone is having a great summer. It will even be better if we can get a day of another private track rental. I'm sure everyone is anticipating when to go racing without having to get in line with 400 + attendees.

Unfortunately, we may not get a chance this year for a private track rental.. Since the new dragway opened late (just last month), they're cramming all the major events that were suppose to happen the past few months on this year's schedule. They also won't have any lights at least for this year, so a request for night racing is out of the question for a while.

We're doing our best to secure a date this year... we even told the Track Official that any day is good, and even if only one lane is open. But, nothing as of yet...

We'll keep everyone posted.

Thank you.

Alternative Motoring
