GNX up on Cherry in LB..
Do you guys know about GNX 308 with 187 (approx) miles on it sitting in a dealership
? still has the the paperwork hanging in the window with the lot number sticker above the rearview mirror.. i talked to a sales man, and he stated that some guy came in with $100K a couple of years ago and the dealership owner turned it down ( i was think it was you Wells). this could be old news but i just wanted to pass it on.. mike

I have known about that car for quite a few years, as I have had my cars serviced there for about the last 10 years or so. I don't know the exact mileage, but it is somewhere around there. It is a nice piece of automobile history, but I don't think that they ever had a $100K offer. I heard just last week or so when I was in there that the owner of the car, who is naturally the owner of the business, turned down a $70K offer for it. It will never be sold while he is alive. It does not get the care that it should have. Bumpers are hazing, bumper fillers are probably going south one of these days. Bumper rubstrips are not preserved with leather, vinyl, or rubber conditioner like they should be, etc., etc. I do go out to the sales floor every time that I am there and visit it. There is generally at least 1 real GNX at the Bates Nut Farm show, and 2 years ago there were 2 there, 1 a driver and 1 a museum quality car with about 1200 miles on it. Hope to see you guys at the show.

I wouldn't think that there would be any objections, but you should run that by Steve Hurst, as it is his show, so he has the say-so. He can be reached at (714) 772-6201.

I keep hearing about it,
My buddy lives in Long Beach and told me about it 4 years ago I believe. I am going to have to go and check it out. I have never seen one in person. I know they are basicly like our cars, but its a"GNX". I get people telling me, "You never see these cars anywhere, and I dont, I have seen more Grand National's than T's. Well I have yet to see a GNX.

There is almost always at least 1 at the San Diego show. It is a driver with about 75K miles on it, but it is real. About 2 years ago, maybe 3, there was a 1200 mile one there and the driver both. See you at the show.
