Question Cam Pos. Sensor & Idle HC

I have been wondering if skewing the CPS a little advanced or retarded from the normal
20-25 ATDC mite get my HC down at idle? Yes were talking injector timing not spark timing so please don’t read me the riot act on CPS setting please, I would just like too know if you can use this to compensate for big port heads and a roller cam and big headers? Anyone?
Phil.
