First you'll want to install a computer chip such as TurboTweak which will eliminate the EGR function. Don't want to install a block-off plate if the car is still trying to flow exhaust gas through there, so the computer chip will eliminate the EGR.
Installing the plate is fairly simple just remove everything related to the EGR and install the plate, you might want to try a little bit of RTV or something on the plate to make sure it doesn't leak. There won't really be a performance gain since the EGR system shouldn't be open during wide-open-throttle anyway. Maybe you'll get a smoother idle if your EGR valve is leaking. The main benefit is to get some of the clutter out of the engine bay by removing the EGR parts. |
