Illinois
Has anyone heard that at the beginning of 2007 Illinois will not be Emissions testing anymore? I heard that since over 95% of cars are compliant that they are going to stop testing.

Probably wishful thinking. I just did a search and can find nothing.

A bill has been introduced to stop emissions testing cars 1995 and older only. I think it passed the Iliinois House and Senate but I think the Governor vetoed it. All cars will still have to be tested one time after Jan. 1, 2007 under the new bill.
