jc whitney 78-80 lower quarter patches

does anyone know if these work on the newer 81-87 cars? just to patch the bottom part of the quarter where they always rust on the bottom lip and above.

They would probably be close, but would require some fabrication to get them to fit. The wheel openings are different. IMO if you are going to fab, I would just get some sheet metal from a donor car and start from the beginning. Also, if you have rust holes in the quarters you are almost certain to have them in the inner panels of the same area, and nobody seems to offer a solution for those So to "get it all" you will probably have to make your own pieces.....Been there

The lip on the wheelwell seems to be fine. It's just that part in front of the lip and behind where teh drain holes are for the trunk. I'll have to check it out. I would think those lower quarter patches would be easier to use than bending sheetmetal. Now thinking about it I don't see why it wouldn't work. Hell the quarter's shape can't be that different on the bottom side. Be a good one for turbofish My inner wells got holes in them also. Haven't decided what I'm gonna do there. Probably gonna blast them and cut out the hole after I make a templet and weld new metal in. It's almost too easy
