Seats

I have a T Type with blue fabric 60/40 bench seat. The color has worn off the fabric, but the fabric itself is not damaged/torn.Is there a die that could be applied to restore the fabric?

Had the same problem in my 79. I was told by a few persons it could be dyed. Never tried it though. Would be nice to know for future reference.

It could definitely be dyed. As far as aerosol dyes go, I'm not sure how good it would turn out. I've never used it on seat fabric, but have seen it used on visors as well as areas on carpets. Made it kinda stiff and crappy looking, but it may have just been the brand that was used. If there was dye like the kind sold at grocery strores, the brand slips my mind, where you could pull the cover off and soak it, that may be something you'd want to look into. I'd imagine if something like that exists, it maybe a better option. Soaking into the fabric rather that covering it up as the aerosol seems to do, HTH some
