Which filler panels to purchase?
I need 4 filler panels for a extremely clean GN with original paint. My thought was OEM for the front and ABS for the rear. What's the consensus for best show car quality?
Should I repaint them with laquer to match the rest of the car or B/C? Thanks |

I think your headed in the right direction. IMO, the best would be OEM front and rear, but I'm sure your aware of the price of the rears. So I think ABS would be your next best bet. I personally bought a whole set of fiberglass from Brian@Gbodyparts, I believe they are manu. by Danko. The quality was good, fit was ok, had to elongate some holes but thats it. Scuffed em up, and sprayed em BC/CC like the rest of the car. I'd say paint to match the car, but thats just me, I'm picky like that

I think I would go fiberglass for the rears.

rear bumper fillers
I would go with abs,I have two cars one has abs the other has fiber glass. The abs fit perfect, but they need little work on the corner`s(very weak).I had a problem fitting the fiberglass on the gn. The left rear tail light doesn`t fit well and may need some sanding. Also there some difference between both sides

fillers
I have installed and painted at least 5 sets of fiberglass and 1 set abs, fiberglass IMHO is the better way to go, but do require fitment before painting, oblonging the holes, and beveling the edge under the license plate, and snip the edge by the rear bumper so not to rub.I have seen varying quality but no unusable ones. should still be there in the future and not rot away.
Thanks Bill

Abs
I went with the ABS fillers from TR Custom Parts. Fast shipping and the service was very good. Initial impressions was a decent fit but needed a little work on the sides (elongate the holes) and sanding under the filler cap for clearance. They did need considerable block sanding and priming to get smooth enough for the black (if you're real picky) The end product is nice, I still like the factory pieces a little better, especially where the two rear pieces fit together under the license plate.
If I had to do it again, I would go OEM front and ABS rear, but that's just me. My originals lasted 21 years. What more could you ask for? ![]() |

If you polish them every few days they will stay shiny!, but unfortunately the haze will soon return once you stop buffing them and they will soon begin to crack, time to replace them.
