Question Correct Finish for Lower Windshield Panel

On a Grand National, is the lower windshield panel that the wipers rest on right behind the hood supposed to be a gloss or a satin finish?

All the exterior molding is supposed to be satin, why that bottom plate seems to be the only piece that fades to grey I don't know.....
