WH1 paint

Does anyone know the paint codes for the gray and black WH1 paint? I was wondering, because on the 2 black and gray buicks I was repainting, it looked as though there was metallic is the black paint?

Thanks!

I remember reading somewhere that they were just supposed to be black but due to not cleaning the sprayguns thouroughly some cars ended up with silver in them. I think this happened on GNs too. I am not 100 % on this I am just going by something I read.

A little help on designer paint codes?

Quote form turbofish in thread below:

The paint codes are in two places. On the cowl tag and the SPID label in the trunk. Look for numbers ending in these 3 letters. U=upper,L=lower and M=middle. U and L should have the same number.
For example the WH1 designer cars have the codes 19U-19L-15M.

Here is the thread:

Accent paint (two tone) paint code question

HTH - I believe the 19's are the black upper and lower?

And the long code or Fisher Body paint codes are
19L=WA 0848 or WA 848
15M=WA 8573
19U=WA 0848

Most if not all shops use these codes now.

I believe the 19U code also applies for the GN. But some people will tell ya that 'black is black' but we know that's not true...........
