Black primer?

Has anyone here ever just said to hell with gloss paint and just black primered there ride? And if so do you have pictures?

your better off with a flat black and a flat clear to protect the metal with just primer the moister will still get through. The most recent paint trend - Flat Black - Autopia Car Detailing Forum

the paint that I have on the car now should take care of rust it's just all chiped and torn up and I don't want to paint this body just yet. but I do want to get rid of the marks on it.

well the whole car isn't done like that, but i'm sure you get te idea. me and my buddy will probably end up leaving it primer when we get the body done unless it gets finished before our next winter ...i'm kinda lazy on it lately te last few months. a few rust holes (quarter panel)

87 WE4-factory radio delete, pwr windows, rear defrost, pwr antenna, that's it! Runs on used parts and stuff I found in my uncles back yard. Now that it runs I'm tearing it apart

...and a 93 T/A- Well optioned but definitely not a whole lot of Pontiac Excitement there.
