Re-finishing front steering parts - opinions?

The 86-87 original color was probably "surface rust" from the factory .

What are your thoughts on appropriate and/or nice-looking finish on all the steering parts ? (tie rods, pitman arms, etc).

I am thinking to paint POR "metal mask" topcoat over POR primer..

Alternately I could just stick with semigloss black POR, but there's already so much black on the undercarriage.

Ideally I'd like to powdercoat, but I dont think (??) there's any straightforward method to disassemble the various ball jointed ends without destroying them.

Car is low mileage & lightly driven, so not too worried about buildup of road dirt & grease.

I used POR-15 on my under parts and it looks like they are coated with a shiny plastic. Can never have TOO much black.

I've usually used semi-gloss black POR on chassis & undercarriage parts, I take you opted for high-gloss black?

I was afraid I'd end up having to polish & wax both Top and Bottom of car if I went the high-gloss route !
