Dash Question

Hi.. Does the gauge cluster bolt on to the rest of the dash. Kinda hard to explain but where the dash and gauge cluster come together there is a little gap between the two and im getting a light shining through when the cluster instrument lights are on. It shines right on the windshield and is very annoying. Now I know why the previous owner put a carpeted dash cover in place that looks totally stupid.

If you don't know what Im talking about Ill take a pic. and post it on here.

I can't visualize exactly where the light you are talking about is coming from but it is really easy to take the instrument panel apart. First, the bezel is held on by six or so clips - which means it just pulls off. Be gentle, it is plastic and 20 yrs old. Tilt the steering wheel all the way down to give yourself some room. With the bezel off, you should be able see where your problem is.

I know what you are talking about. The gap is between your gauge surrond and your actual dash. The whole square piece of dash that surrounds your gauges comes off completely by itself. Yours must be warped to allow the gap there where the light is coming thru. You may see if you take the instrument bezel off if any of your screws that hold it on are loose causing it to be seperated, but it is most likely just warped.
