Paintless dent removal ?
Had a tree drop a limb today and put a nice size ding in the center of the hood on the drivers side.
The sheet metal is bowed in an area about the size of the bottom of a tea saucer with the ding close to 1/16 th of an inch deep where the point of the limb hit. It didn't crack the paint so I was wondering if it could be worked back out with out repainting? Anybody have any experience with the paintless dent removal guys? Cost? Anybody recommend one in the Charlotte, NC area? And no, I don't normally park under a tree .

Paintless Dent Removal
I used a local guy here in NY to remove two dings I had in my '87 GN.
There was a good size ding in the driver's door that had been there since 1988, and another one in the hood that had been there for about 5 years (from an acorn I think). I got the name of this guy from several local reputable body shops, who use him (even on their own cars). My results were outstanding - no sign of where either ding was. I think around here the going rate is about $75-125/panel. Ask around at some reputable body shops, to see who they use. |
