Another display question...

I know the Turbo link is a bit slower than the powerlogger but I'm impressed by the Turbo link's multi-color display. I'm considering mounting a tablet laptop in the dash of a hybrid car and wanted to know if the direct scan and powerlogger have different displays similar to the Turbo link or just the gray colored one.
Thanks!

Directscan doesn't. It runs in DOS ie. not even in a Windows environment AND requires a serial port on the computer... which the tablet probably doesn't have??. Don't know about powerlogger.... Surely fullthrottle.com has some screenshots?? If you're looking for 'bling', DS is probably not the ticket.

Personally I'd rather have substance over bling. Saying the TL is a "bit" slower than PL is sorta like saying it's only a "bit" colder in Antarctica than it is in Miami Beach.

No black background option, etc. available for the powerlogger I'm guessing. The slower Turbolink would probably get on my nerves after a while. Looks like the powerlogger is the way to go. Thanks for the info!
