What does the Direct Scan display look like?

I'm trying to decide on which scan tool to get and wanted to see if someone could take a picture of the gauge-style Direct Scan display(s). I saw the powerlogger and turbolink ones. Thanks!

You can actually go to their site and download the software and run the software to see what it looks like. You could probably get someone to email you a log file too to see what it looks like with data.

Go with the Power Logger. DS is nice. But being DOS based is a big downside and the Power Logger is much better. I had a Direct Scan. It was nice back in the day. But I would never use one again. Mostly because of the DOS. PITA if you have a newer computer. Even if newer means made in the year 2000 or later.

I agree to a certain extent.
I have a "newer" laptop with Windows 2000. I quickly found out that running Direct Scan was not going to happen. I then found out about the "DS boot disk" You insert the special disk in the drive and power it up. It starts the DS program in DOS before starting windows. Works great.

Having said that, todays laptops normally are not equipped with a floppy drive. Making it more of a PITA. Powerloggers' ability to add additional information such as boost, EGT, WBO2, and so on is awesome.

I personally like the ease of use with DS. Or i'm just that used to it. lol.
