Direct Scan connector mod?

Hey guys.... I just got Direct Scan, and I am aware of the possible problems resulting from pushing the connector too far onto the ecm. I remember back several years ago when this was discussed on the Gnttype mailing list and someone (Dave Huicker, maybe?) had a good solution to prevent this from happening... maybe like a toothpick thru the connector as a travel limiter, or something similar?? If someone could reach into their longterm brain storage and provide me this info, I would be most appreciative! Thanks!

That's me. I tried a round toothpick but it was a little too thick. What I ended up using was a very very small wire tie (xip tie) and cutting it just long enough to slip down into the connector.

Hi Dave,
Thanks! so I take it that you insert the "spacer" longways in the connector, like between the 2 rows of pin(hole)s, such that it, the spacer, bottoms out along the front edge of the ecm card??
