Direct Scan... Device Not Connected

Has anyone seen "Device Not Connected" on their Direct Scan. Mine used to do it every once in a great while. Now it does it constantly. I've checked the cables and connections. Nothing obvious. I've even switched ECMs. Who do I contact if it needs repair? It's been a long time since I purchased it new. Dave C.

Have you checked the DS box behind the glove box. Clean and reinstall your ECM and lap top connections. Maybe the ribbon is pinched or broken. Where in Vermont? I'm across the lake in Plattsburgh.

Hi Fuelie600. I took the system out of the car and inspected the connections and cables. They appear okay. I'll try again and atempt to clean them somehow. I'm in Milton, 15 miles north of Burlington. Dave C.
