T-Link or Labtop prob?

Everytime I hook my T-link to the car it works for a little bit then jumps to some numbers that dont even make sense............like it will say I am at 60 mph(all the other readings will change too.....almost like they are reading like they would if I was going 60) and I am really going 25mph Not sure what is wrong? If I try to disconnect and re-connect it will work a little bit then do it again?? Even at idle sometimes it will glitch. I am running a Dell labtop.......refurbished a yr ago.......so maybe 4 yrs old all together......with 2000ME on it. I only use it for T-link so there is no other programs on it, that would cause this..........could windows be installed wrong or something.
Not the best at computers.......any ideas guys??

TIA, Nick

Is this version 4? Version 2?

If it is version 4, be sure you have the latest sofware (should be version 4.0.5). You can download it from http://www.appauto.com .. make sure you unistall everything using the "ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS" control panel and then install the FULL INSTALL download from the site.

If it's version 2.x, it's likely that something is broke or loose in the cable.

Best way to reach me any more is direct email:

ken_mosher@mototron.com

We are up to our ears in some SEMA deadlines, so I don't have time to cruise the boards ... I just happen to be on a (quite BORING) conference call this morning! )

I check GN/TTYPE the most often ...

As far as the download, you can download it and cut it to a CD or a thumb drive (It's about 105 Mb).
