as far as installation, its not hard at all. takes some time on the ecm as far as cleaning goes. you have to prep the computer which is more or less just cleaning some glue of the connection point. not to sure about windows xp but once you get it you will love it.

You'll have to boot to DOS or Win98 to connect to the car. XP won't allow it to access the parallel port.
