Jw Re-cert

I believe the price was $30 or $35 about a year ago. Plus shipping of course.
To be re-certed by JW.
You can contact them @ 321-632-6205

They say they don't re-cert very many.
Because if they replace the starter ring gear and re-cert.,the price is very close to a new flexplate.

Maybe this helps.

Re-cert

JW does NOT re-certify flexplates any more. Cost prohibitive. They quit doing
it in 2002, I believe.

I had a expired JW on my motor for 3 years. No one ever looked at it. If the motor is in the car , thats a lot of work for something no one checks.

Jw Re-cert

RegalX2, Jim ;

Sorry , I was slightly mistaken about the price.
Here is a link to a post in Oct. 2006:

New J.w. Sfi Flex Plate External Balance

Anyway, as most will tell you.
If you just have an SFI flexplate, most tech will not check the actual cert date.
NOT to say that someday , it might be checked !

Or , if it is just for your on satisfaction. But as you can see, it is as cheap to buy a new one as to have one re-certed.

Good Luck!
