McLain's female VP

As you many know McLain recently nominated a female for vice president who happens to have a son currently in the US Army.

If she ends up getting in office, you don't suppose the US government is going to keep her son from deploying to Iraq/Afghanistan do you?

Me personally I hope they keep him in. Let him do his time in the sandbox. Don't just give him royalty because his mom is the VP.

Its not like he's third in line to the English throne. He's going and is staying.

A couple Special forces might be hanging out with him, but I seriously doubt he doesn't go.

I asked because with the war in Iraq going on and such I would think it would really hit home for a politician, and that they'd give him "special treatment".

I don't think Bush would have kicked off the war if either of his daughters were in the military at the time....

If you listened to her acceptance speech Friday @ approximately 11:30 PM you would have heard her say that she had a son in the Army and she also said it was the right thing to be in Iraq....... I don't think she has an agenda here to remove her son from the military.

What is this based on?

Your personal opinion?

Bush's daughters in the military would have had nothing to do with the decision to go into Iraq.

That's silly and it's based on nothing.

I AGREE UNGN is right!
Bush and Co. would have fabricated the lies to go to war regardlesss of whether his daughters enlisted or not!!!!!!!!!!!

The Forged letter by Habush that was used in the run up to war? which is a clear violation of US law.The mission is a statutory violation of the charter of the CIA, and amendments added in 1991, prohibiting the CIA from conducting disinformation campaigns on U.S. soil.

I agree, despite what a lot of people and a lot of crazy morons (read the post above mine if you want to see one in action) think, Bush would have sent them into Iraq because it needed to be done sooner or later.

You missed the point. If you were running for pres. or vice pres. but your kid was in Iraq getting shot at, and you all the sudden got into office, would you want to pull your kid out?

No.

Even if I opposed the war.

#1 they would be an adult and can make their own decisions

#2 the military isn't a jobs program or a P/R campaign.

Al Gore may have joined the army as a PR stunt for his father, but McLame's son didn't.
