Don't be surprised that Bush had the nuts to take S Hussein out and help Iraq start over. Some people are what we call "vertebrates." a deficit like that is what you get when you try to run a welfare/warfare state while trying to pretend you are conservative by having (relatively) low taxes.
the really scary part is how high taxes will have to be to balance the budget if we keep the government at its current size or worse yet, expand it. especially with all the liabilities about to be incurred from social security and medicare.
