Obama Tonight...

I am a conservative, and I'm Republican.

BUT

I've got to hand it to Obama. I was really, very impressed with Obama with his Speech tonight. He was polished, passionate, and I am keeping an open mind.

I've got to hand it to him - He sounded great and I have the utmost respect for him and his wife & family.

I may even vote for him. I am that impressed. Am I under his spell? I'm not trying to be facetious either. How can you not like him or see some positives that can come out of a guy like him being President?

Whether Obama or McCain wins- I am still not 100% sure who exactly I'm voting for yet. But I feel Obama may make a good President.

McCain needs to energize the Grand Ole Party--- .....and me. By the way the Fireworks were excellent too!

God Bless both of them as they fight for the Presidency. May the best man win.

His out going song was a Brooks and Dunn song??? I was expecting
Jay-z, 50 Cent, Snoop...but a country act?? that was just weird. Not expected for a guy that didn't have Brooks and Dunn in their top 10 "listened" to songs as presented by the pop media several weeks ago.

This is exactly why Obama will win in November.

He says all the right things. Saying and doing are two different things.

I for one am not fooled and know exactly what he and his party stands for.

Mediocrity.

...Magical Negro? C'mon UNGN, that's not nice. I know you hate Obama, but you should calm down just a little bit. Hate isn't good. Remember Star Wars, Return of the Jedi? Luke's hate backfired on him...

Honestly though, I think he did an excellent job. I liked practically everything he said. He was poised, he spoke excellent, he related to the common man. Doesn't anyone agree with me? Or too afraid to speakup. Obama came from a 1 Mom working family. He worked hard to get to where he was at. I have a lot of respect for that.

I didn't say he's perfect. I don't care for the Clintons. Many Democrats just Loveee the Clintons.

But I do know one thing though. I feel Obama will be the President one day soon... even if he doesn't do it this November. He will be the President one day, I can almost guarantee it.

This guy is making quite a comeback since his fanatic Pastor. You got to hand it to him.

Can you name one thing he accomplished as a Senator and then list the top 3 reasons you think he'd make a good president.

I am curious to see what you are forming your opinion on....facts or flash.

Never said he didn't do a good job on his speech. He is king of the teleprompter.

Just saying most Conservative Republicans are still against:

Pro choice

Higher taxes

Gun control

Appointing liberal judges

Extending government entitlement programs

etc etc...

I like how he is going to raise tax rates. I mean, what an a-hole thing to promise to the American people. I make at least 3 times as much money today compared to when Bush was first elected. This is gonna suck when I make more money but keep the same lifestyle as I have today because I will be paying more in taxes.

The term Magical Negro is a Spike Lee term. It's not racist and has nothing to do with hate.

Obama is a Liberal Empty suit that can read a Teleprompter like a media coached harvard educated lawyer should be expected to.

Off script, things aren't so rosy.

Take the Biden pick. WTF is up with that? Who made that stupid decision?

I hove how Democrats are going to give tax cuts to 95% of Americans and end our dependence on Foreign oil in 10 years? WTF????? How?????

What legislation has he EVER proposed that are anything close to this?

Is he going to mandate everyone ride an Electric Bus to work or Tax gasoline so its $10 gallon?

Is He going to tax the 5% of rich in the US that employ 10's of million of people so that people that don't pay any taxes can get a tax cut?

Anybody can make a bunch of hollow promises. Obama can do it in a way that you can believe him... until you ask for specifics, then he refers you to idiots like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to give you the specifics and you say to your self "Aww ****!"

1.)1st African American to have the opportunity possibly become President plus he's young and has quite a bit of energy. Energy is good. Being young isn't necessarily a weakness you know.... Experience is great, but I've watched this guy speak and handle himself. He's a consumate professional. If you don't think so, then expain why you think he's such a thug or bad guy...

2.)He has presented his wish to lower taxes for the middle class of which I'm in. He also has the desire for national healthcare. I have one of the best healthcare plans around, however, a lot of people don't. What's so bad about that? Should we stay sick or die, or have ruined credit because we don't have a healthplan of some sort? C'mon, be compassionate....

3.) Basic stuff, but hit home with me. ...He spoke of parents interracting more with their children (turn off the tv sometimes) and not for Father's to abandon their sons and daughters. I am impressed with a person who says this, and who himself had a father who wasn't around. He relates with people on that. He wasn't a spoiled rotten kid, with a Father who paid for everything.

4.) One more for you... He proposed to use good judgement to not go to war so quickly, and to stand up to rogue nations with everything he has got. (if he becomes President, he will have the Best Military to the world to do it with)

I'm simple. I'm not going to get technical. I feel that he's not a bad guy. I'm still going to watch McCain and see what he puts out there. And I'm going to research both candidates respectively, and the history's of both parties.

I'm conservative in the respect that I don't believe in late term abortions at all. I also believe that Marriage is intended to be for a man and woman only.
I believe experience is key too, but I'm not sure if it's enough at this time to convince me "it" deserves my vote.

Let's see who McCain's running mate is, and how McCain speaks. He needs to stop using the "My Friends..." beginning to his sentences, and speak from the heart, and give us what he really intends to see this country go from here. When he uses the "My Friends..." I feel McCain sometimes is talking down to people in a certain way. Other than that, I love McCain's sense of humor, and the fact he was in the Navy- Like I was during Desert Storm as an Avionics Technician on F-14 Tomcats off the USS America.

This isn't about me and please don't put words in my mouth...I never said he was a thug or a bad guy. So he's young, black and full of energy.

Oy.

He wants to lower taxes for many people that already don't pay any taxes. At the expense of those who employ the lower class.......all at a time when businesses are leaving this country at a furious rate.

As for healthcare.....can you honestly say....with a straight face that you think the government is qualified or has proven that it could run an efficient healthcare system? Seriously?

I can buy a toilet at home Depot for 50 bucks....the government pays 2300 dollars for one.

Does that make sense to you?

Oy2.

Admirable but certainly not relevant to the POTUS.

That's very easy to say....especially with the benefit of hindsight. How exactly do we pay for national healthcare and the best military in the world when we cut taxes?

At least you still have the sense to be open minded. This race has hardly started.

1)Consumate professional? Yes with a teleprompter. I know you have seen his stutter bumblings in open forums on here before.

2)Lower taxes? You have seen his plan right? Taxes will be raised on everyone making 30k or more. Not to mention capital gains which will kill the incentive to invest. Death tax will be reinstated and you'll pay tax when you sell your homestead. I've seen a lot of people with no healthcare, but they have big screen screen tv's and nice cars though.

3)No matter what Obama says he cannot force families to turn off the tv and spend time with the children.

4)Yeah, have control of the most powerful military in the World with absolutely no experience at all.

God help us.

If there was a Harvard Educated White Guy that was in the Senate for 140 days, and had a long history of not making a decision and voting "present", then announced he was running for President, would he be nominated by the Democrat party to be their Presidential candidate?

Honestly, would they?

Even if this Harvard Educated White guy gave gave GREAT, JFKish speeches.

No Fing way.

Obama is a 100% market tested, packaged solution brought to you by the Democrat party.

Obama's Race is all part of the packaging.

If someone like Colin Powell was running for President, it wouldn't be about race. It would be about honest to god actual substance, not "feelings" and "emotion" and hollow promises with ZERO to back it up AND the magic negro label wouldn't apply.

The Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics showed us how great China is. The Reality is the average wage in China is less than $100/Month (Not $1000/Month, but $100/Month).

So much for Beautiful visuals.

Someone should BITCH SLAP YOU! You're delusional!

There wasn't anything NEW in that speech that wasn't heard or said before! Pull up his 2004 speech on YOUTUBE and see the difference in delivery, fire, and connection to the people.

He was a ZERO tonigh! BUt, he'll get a 10 point boost because all the suckaZZ media will play it that way!

This guy is going to fall like a house of cards come november, hopefully many of the Congressional seats will also fall with him!

McLame doesn't have to do a damn thing now, let the 2 idiots run around the country yelling HOPE, CHANGE!

Still bet $100 to anyone's $200 that mclame wins. That the odds in Vegas, any players?

God Bless both of them as they fight for the Presidency. May the best man win.
Being the President of the United States has nothing to do with being energetic or being good at reading a teleprompter. It damn sure has nothing to do with fireworks.

He's a radical leftwing liberal. He's a socialist. He backs partial birth abortions, which is sick as hell. He backs universal (read socialized) healthcare, which would be really ****ty. He like affirmative action. He came up from the corrupt Chicago political scene. He is friends with terrorists. His preacher and mentor of 20 years is an anti-white, anti-Jew, anti-United States psychopath. His wife has never (until Obamba started beating Hilderbeast) been proud of our nation. He is a spineless worm. He is unqualified to be the President according to HIS CHOICE for VP.

Smoke and mirrors are good for magic shows. When the "feeling" wears off, he is an empty suit with his own good intentions in mind. The Democratic party is based on emotions, not logic and strong thought processes. Don't buy into it, it's crap.

Take 2 Advils and call me in the morning.
