Yep, hydrogen is the answer, oh wait, costs more to produce hydrogen than you get in return. Yep technology is the answer and they'll have some really applicable stuff in about 10-20 years.

Me thinks you need to sell your GN if you even own one, and go buy an electric car. Then you can tell me how usefull it is. I know I'd get about half way across the state and have to get towed the rest of the way across the swamp cuz the car wouldn't make it. Yep, real useful. Hmmm... Hybrid, not a bad idea, but I'd rather not spend on average $4000 more for a car that doesn't get much better gas milage.

It's already happening!

I am seeing a LOT of new Prius's (Priei?) on the road all of a sudden. I am actually amazed at how many.

I view that as a good thing... a very good thing. It shows the market forces are working properly.

Where's my pic of goth with his tinfoil hat?

They also stole the plans for a car that runs on water and killed the guy who designed it too, didn't they.

Off shore drilling evidently isn't the answer
Depends on the question.

Remember that a HUGE drag on the US economy right now is the trade deficit. More domestic oil production = smaller trade deficit. Even if we only produce a small percentage of the world's oil, the dollar will become stronger for every bit that we can reduce imports.

Stopping buying everything from China wouldn't hurt either, let's get some of our own manufacturing sector back to work too.

the limiting factor of the first electric car was the battery, this solves that problem not with a battery, but by making it a hybrid

Huh? again with the making stuff up.

Most Freight Moves by trains. Trains run non stop in flyover country. 1 every 10 minutes or so. And they are all full.

How would Big oil make sure trucks transported freight, anyway? Lower the price of oil so much that it was cheap?

You are not a sharp man.

Ummm... 1st electric car was built in the 1800s. Guess what the problem was over 100 years ago with the electric car?
