Wesley Clark, Almost started WW III, another total waste on the Obama team!

Never mind his insane GAFF about Mclame's service record compared to Obomathon's ability to lead. Wonder how many remember this?

"Details of Russia's surprise occupation of Pristina airport at the end of the Kosovo war are revealed in a new BBC documentary on the conflict.

For the first time, the key players in the tense confrontation between Nato and Russian troops talk about the stand-off which jeopardised the entire peacekeeping mission.

The Russians, who played a crucial role in persuading Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic to end the war, had expected to police their own sector of Kosovo, independent of Nato.

When they did not get it, they felt double-crossed.

As Nato's K-For peacekeepers prepared to enter the province on 12 June, they discovered the Russians had got there first.

A contingent of 200 troops, stationed in Bosnia, was already rolling towards Pristina airport.

'Third World War'

General Wesley Clark, Nato's supreme commander, immediately ordered 500 British and French paratroopers to be put on standby to occupy the airport.

''I called the [Nato] Secretary General [Javier Solana] and told him what the circumstances were,'' General Clark tells the BBC programme Moral Combat: Nato at War.

''He talked about what the risks were and what might happen if the Russian's got there first, and he said: 'Of course you have to get to the airport'.

General Jackson: Backed by UK Government

''I said: 'Do you consider I have the authority to do so?' He said: 'Of course you do, you have transfer of authority'.''

But General Clark's plan was blocked by General Sir Mike Jackson, K-For's British commander.

"I'm not going to start the Third World War for you," he reportedly told General Clark during one heated exchange.

General Jackson tells the BBC: ''We were [looking at] a possibility....of confrontation with the Russian contingent which seemed to me probably not the right way to start off a relationship with Russians who were going to become part of my command.''

It's obvious this guy is getting paid for his "expertise". I am sure he had a distinguished record and the military, but now is lining his pockets with dems money. The notion that B. Hussein has the experience to be Commander in Chief or that McCain does not is simply absurd.

Oh come on guys, why would you want to elect a COMMANDER IN CHIEF of the United States MILITARY that had military experience

Wouldn't we all rather have a guy that makes us feel good about ourselves, gives us free crap, and is good at reading teleprompters?

luckily, Wes Clark wasn't allowed to start a world war back in the 90s. but i suspect John McCain might if he gets elected. Clark and McCain are actually not all that different on foreign policy -- they are both a big believer in the hyperinterverntionist model of us as the world's policeman.

I'm a Viet Nam infantry veteran and learned while there that the only bigger douchebags than politicians are General officers who lick more butts than a dog does to get ahead.

hmm, mccain is a politician and a former officer. does that make him a double douchebag? lol.

oh well, i guess you could say the same for my hero Ron Paul... however, I can forgive him for being a politician because he uses his position to try to give freedom back to the people, kind of like George Washington did.

He also doesn't flaunt and brag about his military service, and pretend that being a low-grade officer 35 years ago makes him in any way qualified to be the chief executive.

the link says "video no longer available." Is that the one where he says we should abolish the CIA?

Unfortunately for Dr. Paul, his views can't be expressed in sound bytes or bumper sticker slogans, unlike his rivals. they are easy for stupid people to make fun of, but they actually make a lot of sense when he has time to explain them fully.

Go to YOUTUBE and search Paul Downey, there were 7-8 different ones from an hour show! Seems Dr. Paul, has quite a temper, an SUPPORTED drug use. But, hey that was 20 years ago, People GROW!

Oh yeah, i've seen that video... here's a good link. YouTube - Ron Paul vs. Morton Downey, Jr.'s audience 1988

I wish Ron still had that much fight in him this primary season. IMO, he was way too nice to his rivals when they said some of the most idiotic things i've ever heard on live TV, and he let them monopolize all the debate time because they were aggressive *******s who didn't mind interrupting or shouting people down, while Ron was sitting there trying to be Mr. nice guy.

He gave that prick on the Downey show exactly what every fatass who supports drug laws needs to hear -- according to your beliefs, why shouldn't the government put you on a diet to protect you from yourself? I'll bet fattening foods are a whole lot worse for you than a little bit of the goofball grass... same with cigarettes, for that matter.
