Thank God!!!! I have said it before and will say it again. If you own a gun in this country, you have a responsibility to be an active member of the NRA. If you are not, please join us in supporting futher gun control law abolishment. Also, don't forget the real power of the next President will be his Supreme Court Nominees.

Wee Wee I am going to give you the benefit of doubt and say you were completely joking about this site and in no way support it. This is a place that advocates illegal activities against law abiding U.S. citizens. Now I just know you wouldn't align yourself with a group who advocates such things as killing elmers, destruction of private property, or any of that fun stuff would you?

Take a look at a couple of article titles:

"Opposing Elmers who Support 'Our' Baby-Killing Troops"

"Stopping Elmer Fudd: Is it wrong to kill Elmers"

If Kerry had won, it would have been 8-3 against.

Something to ponder.

Reactions to the Supreme Court striking down the DC gun ban

By The Associated Press 57 minutes ago

Some reaction to the Supreme Court's ruling Thursday that Americans have a right to own guns for self-defense and hunting:

___

"I'm thrilled I am now able to defend myself and my household in my home." — Dick Heller, who sued the District of Columbia after it rejected his application to keep a handgun at his home for protection.

___

"More handguns in the District of Columbia will only lead to more handgun violence." — Washington Mayor Adrian Fenty.

___

"The president strongly agrees with the Supreme Court's historic decision today that the Second Amendment protects the individual right of Americans to keep and bear arms. This has been the Administration's long-held view. The President is also pleased that the Court concluded that the DC firearm laws violate that right." — White House press secretary Dana Perino.

___

"While it ruled that the D.C. gun ban went too far, Justice Scalia himself acknowledged that this right is not absolute and subject to reasonable regulations enacted by local communities to keep their streets safe. Today's ruling ... will provide much-needed guidance to local jurisdictions across the country." — Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.

___

"This opinion should usher in a new era in which the constitutionality of government regulations of firearms are reviewed against the backdrop of this important right." — Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt.

___

"The right to bear arms is a fundamental right we enjoy as citizens of the United States. From individuals being able to protect their family and their home to sportsmen venturing into the outdoors, this is an important and historic day for all citizens of this great country." — Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn.

___

"I am profoundly disappointed in Justice Roberts and Justice Alito, both of whom assured us of their respect for precedent. With this decision, 70 years of precedent has gone out the window. And I believe the people of this great country will be less safe because of it." — Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.

___

"Let's be honest about it. This is an actual, enumerated right in the Constitution." — Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah.

___

"Today's ruling is a major victory for the rights of all Americans to protect themselves and their families. The Supreme Court sent a clear message to local, state, and federal governments that this individual right cannot be unreasonably infringed." — Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas.

___

"I think this is a long overdue decision; I don't think the precedent has been seriously reaffirmed in decades." — Sen. Russell Feingold, D-Wis.

___

"The nation's top court made the correct decision by reaffirming one of our founding principles, the right of individuals to keep and bear arms. This historic ruling has implications far beyond the District of Columbia." — Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas.

___

"Today, President Bush's radical Supreme Court justices put rigid ideology ahead of the safety of communities in New Jersey and across the country. This decision illustrates why I have strongly opposed extremist judicial nominees and will continue to do so in the future." — Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J.

___

"In the most significant victory for the Second Amendment in recent memory, the Supreme Court today reaffirmed our citizens' constitutional right to keep and bear arms. ... This decision should send a clear message to opponents of the Second Amendment. The Constitution plainly guarantees the solemn right to keep and bear arms, and the whims of politically correct bureaucrats cannot take it away." — House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio.

___

"The Supreme Court's decision underscores our country's commitment to protecting the fundamental rights on which America was founded. Today, America has reaffirmed its promise to the right to bear arms." — Rep. Nick Lampson, D-Texas.

___

"While this is a clear victory for those who live in Washington, D.C., it's my hope what was decided here today projects a powerful new precedent for judges to follow across the country." — Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo.

___

"As someone who works in Washington during the week, I'm relieved that I can now defend myself in my own apartment without fearing a knock on the door from the local police," Rep. Lynn Westmoreland, R-Ga.

___

"Today, the Supreme Court upheld Americans' Second Amendment rights and I applaud the court's decision. I strongly support every citizen's right to keep and bear arms." — Rep. Steve Kagen, D-Wis.
It's amazing how one thing can be seen so many different ways.
Once again its only a few democrats that have opinions with no backing.

I'm so happy, I don't even care what the naysayers have to offer in rebuttal! We have WON a major victory as citizens of the greatest nation in the world. An actual RIGHT was upheld by the Supreme Court... It just doesn't get any better than this!

Didn't Washington lead the country for years for the city with the highest murder rate, even with a handgun ban.

How can anyone possibly say a handgun ban works, when your one of only a couple cities that have it, and you lead the nation in the murder rate.

Doesn't Chicago have a ban also and didn't they just have a go through a period where like 40 people were murdered with handguns over a couple of weekends, and their murder rate is up 9% this year already.

Yeah, handgun bans work, any fool can see that.
