On WBZ channel 4 Boston this morning some startling information.......

"During this holiday (notice the lack of the christmas refference) season, do not run your credit card balances up so high that you can't pay them........."

now isn't that simply amazing, a news story about personal spending more than you can afford. Who would have EVER thought that if you spend more than you can afford then you might be able to pay it back. No it wasn't a childrens show. It was the morning news. Talk about the dumbing down of it's audience

Unfortunately our society lives on debt. I think all credit card companies should be put out of business myself. I have an excellent credit score and recently when I was 1 day late on a credit card payment, $39 late fee and my purchases interest rate went up from 12.99 to 31.99%!!!!!!!!!! How in the hell is this legal????!!!!! I called to complain and the lady said it was because of the late payment.....I said "F you"..........I hate credit card companies

The news has been replaced by infotainment and fluff. What really irks me is the "news" stories that are really just advertisements

What I'm really sick of is the way these murder stories are at the top of the news week after week. A guy kills his wife and it's national news for weeks. They even have news specials about the details of the case. I think Greta Van Susteren and Nancy Grace are ghouls.
Let the police handle it. I really don't want to hear about it.

I'm talking more in terms of the media, print and tv, treating it's audience as if it were seven years old. Too much sun is bad, eat your vegy's, don't go outside in a lightning storm, drink water before you get thirsty, when you are tired get some sleep. These pathetic stories are paraded every day. Well, when kids get out of government schools nowadays they really are like seven years old but have a firm grasp on gays and victimhood

I agree. It's modern day loansharking, without the busting of heads. I have 2 credit cards and I keep the balance extremely low, and never pay late.
