Why we need a Democratic President

Because the system has become cyclical.

You start with a republican president like Reagan, who gives tax cuts to the rich, borrows trillions of dollars to give to his cronies with govt contracts, and de regulate every industry in america so they cannot police their industries, and the consumer can be better taken advantage of. Just before the economy crashes...

a democrat comes in to right the ship. The democrat has to be the bad guy to raise the taxes to pay for the big govt borrowing of the republican. RR borrowed more money than every president before him...combined. Bush jr almost matched him. The democrat will raise taxes. The democrat will fix the govt, like FEMA and mine safety and consumer products safety, ( so our children wont be eating toys with lead and GHB) the democrat will balance the budget and the economy will work for rich AND POOR.

Then a republican will come in and start borrowing again, they will slash the budgets of all govt regulartory agencies, and install industry insiders to police these industries. Then they'll give tax cuts to the rich again

And the cycle will continue

How about "None of the Above". Not a whole lot of difference between Demos and Repubs lately. Clinton had to run as a "Moderate" and gravitate to the center, he stole legislative ideas from the Repubs and called it his own. Bush is an Eastern Liberal in sheep's clothing.

the president sets the policy and requests the funds, he either gets it or not. It was the RR policy to go ape sht with the defense budget. and spend wildly. The independent variable with democrat congresses is the republican president. It is their policy "deficits dont matter"

Well start reading. The debate is raging. What will happen to this country. Will we have a recession or depression. Will we no longer be a superpower?
With our dollar crashing, and borrowing continuing, our army is broken, our jobs are outsourced and wages have stagnated. The credit crunch is not only a huge concern for regular people, but the lack of credit is affecting business- as no capital is available for expansion.
