My candidate is...

John McCain at 53.

Hunter and Thompson tied for second at 44.

Rudy... who I thought I was most in tune with... is tied for fifth at 34.

I'm kind of surprised by McCain...

FWIW, Hillary and Obama were tied at 13.

Ron Paul with 50. John McCain was a close second with 49.

in addition to leaving out some very important issues like gun control, domestic spying, and free market stuff, it got at least one position absolutely wrong... it said i disagree with Ron on Social Security, when i put i agree with privatization with high priority. i know Ron strongly supports this position, as well.

the best and most accurate poll i've seen is this one:
Find Your Candidate for the 2008 Election – VAJoe.com – Where the Military Matters Most

it also lets you pick how strongly you feel on each issue, and it asks you about a lot more topics.

It put me with Ron at 90%, which pretty accurately reflects my actual opinion.

just because Ron is the number one candidate supported by our military, don't automatically think this site is biased -- it is actually pretty accurate. it just came out that way for me because i agree with almost every last thing that guy believes.

LMAO!

Weren't you the one cracking on me big time for supporting Rudy? (That's a rhetorical question.)

Wasn't it you who called Rudy a liberal? (Again, rhetorical)

RRT was right about you!!!

I have Hillary, Obama and Edwards all tied. . . At 7pts!

Thompson and Duncan Hunter topped my list at 57 each.

McCain came in at 53 and Tom Tancredo got 50.

Huckabee, who I figured I may be closest to, and Gilmore tied at 45.

The ONLY thing it shows me in agreement with along with Clinton, Obama and Edwards is the Death Penalty. Incidentally, only Tancredo, Ron Paul and Brownback oppose that.

yep, that's one of only like 2 minor things i disagree with the guy on. hell, before him i didn't even know of one politician on the national level that i agreed with more than i disagreed with, so he's doing pretty good!

the death penalty doesn't matter all that much for a presidential candidate anyway... it's a policy that is carried out almost completely on the state level and Ron is a hardcore believer in the feds staying out of the states' business, so it's nothing to worry about.
