DETROIT - A federal judge ruled Thursday that the government's warrantless wiretapping program is unconstitutional and ordered an immediate halt to it.

U.S. District Judge Anna Diggs Taylor in Detroit became the first judge to strike down the National Security Agency's program, which she says violates the rights to free speech and privacy as well as the separation of powers enshrined in the Constitution.

"Plaintiffs have prevailed, and the public interest is clear, in this matter. It is the upholding of our Constitution," Taylor wrote in her 43-page opinion.

I think this is great. It goes right to the heart of the "activist Judge" debate.

This is nothing more than just another leftist subversive doing their anti-American thing. The only thing that this ruling proves is that the left is continuing to make a concertive effort to cause America to lose the war on terror and endanger American citizens. The ACLU is continuing to do all it can to undermine the US. The Carter appointed, leftist judge who made this ruling against the government, is just another useful idiot from the army of useless idiots on the left. She does the Islamic fanatics proud. This ruling will be overturned.

The administration has gone to far and its about time they were held responsible for their abuse of power. We are not living in the U.S.S.R. or Nazi Germany, we do have rights!
