Does ANYONE KNOW of any OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT where it lists RACE that they would put in AFRICAN instead of NEGRO? Always though AFRICAN was a nationality, like European, or Asian!

I see his MOTHER'S listed RACE is CAUCASIAN, don't you think she should then have been listed as American, or perhaps WHITE, at the very least????

Just a question I have not found the answer for!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Birth Certificate is filled out by the parent, after the child is born, In this case the BC was filled out 4 days later most likely by his mother, or even his father? He or she filled in African and the registrar files it.

In the 60's they may think of his father as African. I looked at my sons BC from 82 and it doesn't have race of either parent on it.

I looked at my wifes BC, and her race is white, depends on what you put on the BC.
Mine has no race on it, and lists my mothers place of birth as Italy. Seems like BC's are all over the place.

You brought up a good example, Hawaiians consider their race Hawaiians, it would be logical in their minds, to accept someone's claim of race as African.

They would have to have started from day 1, for no one that I mentioned, spilling the beans about his past?

How can you now backtrack and put the news in the Hawaiian paper, post dated to 1961?
