The response after the Gov. advised Boosh N.O. needed help was solely at the feet of Boosh and FEMA. You don't put a guy that ran a horse racing association at the head of a Federal Management dept. And you don't elect a guy that can send funds faster to Lebanon to help them rebuild then you do your own countrymen. Simple as that. New Orleans is still a huge mess. This administration has turned a blind eye to an area of the USA and it's people.

Sounds to me like you need to familiarize yourself with test Hurricane Pam that spelled out to FEMA and the President EXACTLY what was going to happen in a Cat 3 hurricane AND ACTUALLY DID HAPPEN 1 year prior to Katrina.

Looks like the newly re-elected teflon mayor is doing a bang up job.

"During the "60 minutes" interview, a correspondent pointed out flood-damaged cars still on the streets of New Orleans' devastated Ninth Ward. Nagin replied, "You guys in New York can't get a hole in the ground fixed, and it's five years later. So let's be fair," according to CBS.

50 years of Democratic leadership at it's best, blame someone else, a great liberal trait.

And he's so eaten up by that philosophy he even attacks another bastion of the left NYC, doesn't seem to matter, it's the excuse that's important.

Don't forget Nagin sat out the hurricane in a suite in the Marriott. They couldn't even find him one time Bush visited to meet with him.

And don't forget about William Jefferson the Congressman who cleaned out his freezer full of cash with the help of state national guardsman early on in the disaster, that unit could have been used to rescue people actually in need.

And last but certainly not least Governor Blank Stare Blanco who did absolutely nothing on her own in the whole disaster.

Yep it's all the Fed.'s. and Bush's fault, and the Democrats that had been in power all those years that couldn't manage their way to even firing up some schoolbuses, get the free pass.

Ray Nagin does it again

Do you remember New Orleans 'Katrina' mayor Ray Nagin? The one that tried to teach 1,200 buses to swim while his citizen's drowned? Once again, he has demonstrated his ability to deal with hard realities.

According to The New Orleans Times Picayune there were 50,000 vehicles ruined in Katrina and abandoned by their owners.

The largest auto crusher east of the Rockies, K&L Auto Crushers of Tyler, Texas offered to pay the City of New Orleans $100.00 per vehicle, 'as is, where is', an estimated $5 million net to the city. They agreed to bring in 5 to 10 portable crushers, work 6 days per week and complete the job in 15 weeks.

Of course, mayor Nagin knew better how to do the job and refused the offer saying the city would do the job themselves. It seems that now it will cost the City $23 million to complete the job. The vehicles are still there today instead of being cleaned out 5 Months ago.

Now, lets see if I have this correct. By doing it J&L's way the City of New Orleans would net $5 million. Doing it mayor Nagin's way costs the city $23 million for a net cost to the City of New Orleans of $28,000,000.

This is the same mayor that wants The United States taxpayers to give $50 billion to New Orleans and let him rebuild a "Chocolate City" his way without any oversight or any control.

What it does mean is it's in the Feds hands from that point. I mean... come on!! Bush said he didn't know the levies were topped and then a video gets released showing he knew full well. Is that a lie?? Is anyone that stupid?? Shall I show you the video AGAIN like I have several times for you coniggits?

When Bush went on good morning america and said, "We had no idea that something like this could have happened" and then NOAA (the govt agency that tracks the storms) came out and told the public about test Hurricane Pam that was a model hurricane that spelled out exactly what was going to happen in N.O. years before it happened. And then later on it was shown that Bush and his cronies were aware of the this too!!! This was a test drill for FEMA!!!

Of course you guys don't mention any of that stuff.

That statement is absolutely false.

Bush declared a federal disaster either Friday or Saturday before the hurricane... the hurricane was Monday morning... putting the ball in Blanco's court to request whatever she needed.

Instead of doing anything she stood around like a deer in the headlights.
