Iraq insurgents want U.S. out in 2 years

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Insurgents are demanding the withdrawal of all U.S. and British forces from Iraq within two years as a condition for joining reconciliation talks, a senior Iraqi government official said Wednesday.

You leftists can put forward the notion that marriage between one man, and one woman, is just some kind of window dressing issue, but, anyone with common sense knows that it is a major issue with major consequences into the future of this country. And as far as burning the flag, why is it a hate crime to burn a cross? Myself, and I'm sure a majority of Americans feel it's a hate crime to burn the American flag. We aren't going to tolerate it. What are you leftists afraid of? Once congress passes it, and it will pass, each state's electorate will have to vote whether it is a crime or not to burn the flag. It is a very important issue to most Americans. Again, what are you leftists afraid of? Don't you have any respect for the flag? I didn't think so.

These are just two issues that the left is on the wrong side of. You're not even close. The issues the left champions, it's easy for a vast majority of Americans to know which side to be on. What a crock. As usual you take everything out of context and make a typical "reddism" reply. If you aren't going to tolerate it then DO SOMETHING besides whining about it here. I don't believe the flag should be desecrated but there are alot more "pressing" problems in this country besides the handful of nuts that burn a flag. What the "left", as you call it, believes is that burning the flag is despicable BUT it is a freedom that this country allows. Of course you can't differentiate between allowing and "favoring". Same with gay marriage, I am sure most don't "favor" gay marriage but they also don't think it is the governments job to stick their noses into it. If you don't like gay marriage then don't go to the wedding! If you see someone burning a flag then kick their a$$ and quit whining about it.

I have NEVER seen a flag burning in person, only on TV and they seemed like staged events to get maximum attention. I have no idea how many get burned a year but none have happend in my town. I don't like it and would never be part of it. I got an American flag flying off my front porch right at this moment.

Well, I don't like it either. Why should some punk-ass with some perceived problem with people who respect the flag or this country, be allowed to desecrate the flag. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have given their lives for this country, and that flag. Libs are big on hate speech. If anything is hate speech, burning the American flag is hate speech, plain and simple. It's no less hate speech than burning a cross, yet burning a cross is against the law. Should the overwhelming majority of Americans have to put up with disrespectful rabble to show how magnanimous Americans are? I don't think so. When I speak of burning the flag, I am speaking of burning it for the purpose of desecrating it and disrespecting America. Of course, when a flag is worn out, it should be disposed of by burning rather than tossed out.

I wouldn't get your hopes up too high about the November Elections.

The Democrats has zero chance of taking the Senate and they may even lose seats in the house.

Bush and Iraq aren't on the ballot the Democrats are on the wrong side of imigration, which will be the number 1 motivator in November.
