One Result Of Leftist Thinking
FOUND THIS TODAY
THE SUPREME COURT AND THE DEATH PENALTY You already heard that yesterday the Supreme Court ruled that every single murderer on death row has at least one more appeal they can pursue. They can file an appeal claiming that their civil rights are being violated because (gasp!) that lethal injection might hurt! I could go on and on and on talking about the absurdity of this situation ... instead, let me just share an email we received from Debra in Oklahoma. Quote:

We need to replace one more before January 2009. .....Anthony Kennedy, an appointee of President Ronald Reagan who usually votes with the conservatives but has often sided with the liberals on social issues, did not tip his hand. Yesterday's ruling may have been unanimous because it effectively papered over these differences, offering a little something for everyone on the court. In recent weeks, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has spoken publicly of the need for the court to speak with a single voice on controversial issues, even if that means it must rule narrowly. And the court seems unlikely to return to the issue soon. It recently turned down a lethal-injection appeal by a Tennessee death row inmate that did not pose procedural issues as Hill's did, but directly challenged lethal injection in that state as cruel and unusual punishment. Kennedy's decisive role was more obvious in yesterday's other death penalty case, House v. Bell , No. 04-8990, in which he also wrote the majority opinion. Voting 5 to 3, the court gave Paul Gregory House of Tennessee a new chance to challenge the fairness of his 1986 capital murder trial because DNA tests and other new evidence have created doubt that he is guilty. Liberals Stephen G. Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, David H. Souter and John Paul Stevens joined Kennedy. Roberts and fellow conservative Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas dissented. Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. did not vote because the court heard the case in January, before he joined the court. If Kennedy had sided with the conservatives, the 4 to 4 tie would have affirmed a federal appeals court's ruling against House.

"This is an obvious example of the insidiousness of political correctness and leftist thinking. "
LMAO.....You are one sad little man! The Conservatives controll the Supreme Court, y'all got the judges you wanted and that still isnt enough? Its quite obvious that the Reps dont buy into you dellusional thought process. This country has had it with your ilk and is heading back to the middle. I for one think the death penalty should be enforced! Lethal injection is too humane for these crimminals! How's that for a "liberal" point of view? ![]()

Right now, you see the Ann Coulter controversy. This is all about the left attacking someone for speaking the truth. Political correctness is an attack being waged by the left, upon truth, clear thinking, and plain speaking. Political correctness, at its core, is intimidation. In this case, they are trying to stop Ann Coulter from exposing them and speaking the truth with a barrage of negative media and condemnation.

You can tell this NEW lie, as many times as you want. Nobody is buying it. You have to support the troops first. What the libs/dims/progressives want, is a bill of rights for terrorists. To appease them and find out why they hate us. ![]()

"We thought Bush was a conservative (boo-hoo).... now we're mad at him (sniff).... we're going to vote for a real conservative THIS TIME". LOL!!!!!!!! BWAAAHHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHHA!!! The country is laughing at you. "I thought he was a conservative". Bwahhaahhaahahah!!!!!! The country knows you guys can't pick good fruit, nonetheless a decent president. Why is Red so scared of the terrorists. Because he'd run like the chickenhawk he is when the come knocking on his door. I say, "BRING EM ON!!!" You see.... I won't be like Boosh hiding behind his army, I will be out in the streets cutting off heads myself!! I and my fellow libs/dems/progs/indies support our boys. What the diseased conservative mind is incapable of is separating what our fighting men are doing and the stupid mistakes of this admininstration. Liberals support our military, but we don't support the assclowns in charge at the executive level. |
